Firstly, HI! to the new players who got Dogstar in one of Otaku's bundles. These bundles have been absolutely hopeless at making me any real money (other than monthly beer / entertainment money, but that's something right?) but otherwise brilliant at getting Dogstar onto more players computers (now 3000 installs and rising, which is a huge jump from just relying on being found on Steam which = next to impossible for tiny little indie games like mine which are literally a dime a dozen these days.) Dogstar 1.1.3 Patch Notes Bugfix 1: Fixed a bug in multiplayer versus mode, where either player's bullet was not destroyed when shooting the other player. This meant a single shot against the other player could register multiple hits instead of just 1. This update is just a quick tweak to the first couple of levels (Jupiter) Changed the number of Jupiter's Moons from 4 to 2, to reduce screen clutter on the early levels. Changed the behaviour of the Moons when destroyed: Both moons when destroyed will create a rockbuster bomb, putting more bombs in play earlier, to give beginning players a chance to use this mechanic early in the game. These changes have been made to the single player campaign levels of Jupiter 1 and 2, and the Multiplayer Co-op levels of Jupiter 1 and 2.

NEW LEVEL: Extra Bonus level inserted after Earth 2 and before Venus 'Earth Bonus 3' this bonus level is a hybrid of formation waves/perfect bonuses plus mass spawning of comrades from Earth, collect 100 for a 1UP. Level is available in scampaign mode for 1P, and 2P Co-op, where each player has their own formation waves. Also, comrade spawning from earth lasts twice as long in Co-Op. Dogstar Patch 1.01 The Dogstar Title screen has been replaced in the app, all steam branding, and in all videos. This was my bad. (developer) Like the game itself is a homage to a an era of gaming, the source of the like-ness for the concept art was meant purely as a homage to the era - late 70's and early 80's - and the source was fully acknowledged in the credits page in-game. Again - my bad, I've fixed it. but I mean.... who doesn't want to pay homage to a show that depicted an "evil mutated genius Moloch – eater of suns, destroyer of worlds. And behind the scenes, Moloch turned out to be a one-eyed teddy bear operated by strings" ? :) I wish to sincerely thank the community members for bringing this to my attention so I was able to rectify it in the 2nd day of release. There are no functional updates in this initial patch.

- Major Updates before launch - 6 December 2017
A lot of new functionality going in before launch to help balance the difficulty. Jupiter's Moons - IO, Ganymede, Europa, Callisto are being added to the Jupiter levels to help with the easy level training ground. Mars's moon: Phobos - is being added to the Mars levels, this will rain down powerups when destroyed. The Belt is being added to the Earth levels, a ship-shredding belt that orbits the Earth. Destroy the Belt to start a rockstom sequence of enormous destruction.

Hi everyone, Busy finalising the retail version of Dogstar, adding in some of the testers reccomendations around powerup sprites - IE more visibility of being powered up, and tweaking some of the difficulty, changing out some fx here and there....and last but not least, hiding an easter egg or two :) You might notice there is no third level of Earth yet, this is a mystery bonus level that will come in a patch after release, again we will be taking our cues from another 80's game, Scramble, so stay tuned.. 5 of the toughest to get achievments will be tagged 'The FInal 5'. The first 5 users who can bag all of these final 5 achievements and notify me will win an awesome Dogstar T-Shirt, Black or white, with the title screen graphic, on a first-come first served basis. More details to follow...
