When «Still Breathing» was a game jam entry back in its Ren'Py days, the radio was the simplest thing we could put together: a bar, a green zone, hold a key until it filled up. It did the job at the time. But some of the first people to try the newer build told us, kindly, that it felt a little thin — and that it reminded them too much of the combat. They were right.So we rebuilt it from scratch, and this time we wanted it to feel like an actual radio.Now there are two moments to it. First you go hunting for the station with the center dial, and here's the part we love: you hear it before you see it. Voices drift up out of the static as you get close, and the waveform on the little screen starts to take shape. The band is narrow on purpose — overshoot it and the voice fades again, and you have to ease back until you find it. Once you've caught the signal, the side knobs let you shape the...
