- Final Release for Tome of Fates - Free to play ! - 11 February 2025
Hello everyone, After careful consideration of what’s best for the game and its future, I’ve decided to release Tome of Fates as a free-to-play! This transition will happen on Friday, February 21, 2025. Until then, the game remains available for purchase, and once Steam updates the listing, it will officially be free for everyone to enjoy. What’s Next? I’ll be actively supporting the game, answering questions, and helping with any technical issues—both here on the Steam forums and in our Discord community. Update 36 Patch 1.0.21 This will likely be the final update before the full release! I’m very happy with the current state of the game. While there’s always room for more features and improvements, I believe this is a strong foundation to build upon. As a sneak peek of what’s coming next, I’ve added Chapter 1 of the upcoming story, which I’ll be focusing on over the next few months to prepare for its release. One of my key priorities has always been ensuring backward compatibility. This means that all the stories created by players will remain fully functional in future versions of the game. As i add feature and rework code, things tends to break a bit, so it's normal for me to go back and make sure these are cleaned up. Update 33 Patch 1.0.18 Previously Pathing requirement was mostly driven by the inventory requirements. I have added a new simplified true/false requirement, this remove bloat in the inventory system for simple and quick thing to check that shouldn't involve number or inventory all together. Editor: Added "General information", which works in a true/false fashion. Under point of interest, changed "Hero" tab to "Other", which now has the "general information & path tab", where you will find the interface to add/remove requirements for the nod, as well as changing the value of said true/false. Corrected a small issue with inventory requirement status. Gameplay: Corrected the random requirement for entering nod.
