- Patch 1.2.1: Rise of the Summoners! - 5 May 2025
This patch brings some fresh content for you to play around with, as well as balance changes and bug fixes. New Content: - A new Ally joins the ranks, recruitable from the start, if you're lucky enough to find them (Rarity: Rare)! The Silent Summoner comes with two new unique Abilities (Unrelent and Eternal Shroud), obviously focused on the newly empowered Summons. - A new Summoned character, specifically for the Silent Summoner called Unrelenting. A powerful Fighter/Tank Summon who comes with a new unique Ability as well: Shield Wall, which temporarily boosts the Armor of an Ally. He also hits pretty hard! New Run Charms: - Feral Teachings: sets the Crit Chance of all your Summons to 100%. - Hearty Helpers: increases the Armor and Resistance of all your Summons by 35%. - Head Pats: doubles the Health and Strength scaling of all your Summons from the Caster's Level. - NT's Blinders: ins…
- Patch 1.1.2: All About Control - 2 April 2025
A requested feature was being able to adjust the controls for mouse/keyboard and now it's here! Note that it's still a bit experimental, most keys should work just fine, but it's possible some images don't match up. If so, let me know and I'll adjust that! For now it's only Mouse/Keyboard controls, so XboX and PlayStation controllers cannot have their keybinds changed. This patch also comes with a few bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where after unlocking the 'Hidden Realm', the option to go there immediately did not work. - Fixed an issue where the large D20 after rolling a Perception Check was being deleted too quickly. Now the D20 can soar once more!
- Patch 1.1.1: Scheduled Patch - 1 April 2025
Time for the first scheduled patch! The launch was a bit of a rollercoaster, with an overall very positive reception, but a few more bugs than I would have liked. There are still a few issues that I will have to sort out in the coming days and weeks, so expect the patches to keep rolling in. This patch offers some bug fixes, but mostly some overall improvements. Improvements: - Added a 'flashlight' for the darker scenes. When delving through sewers or traversing icy cliffs at night, sometimes you need a little bit of help navigating. That's where the flashlight comes in! You can activate/deactivate it by pressing left Control (when using a keyboard) or dpad up (when using a controller). You can also see that on screen. - Changed the dark blue color used for 'Rare' rarity and 'Buff' type Abilities to a lighter shade, so it's easier to see against the dark backgrounds. - Ensured all of th…
- Patch 1.0.9 - 31 March 2025
Fixed an incorrect ID for one of the combats in Pits of GrimOgg, blocking you from completing the Realm if you left the Realm before completing the first combat.
- Patch 1.0.8 - 31 March 2025
Fixed another issue with the sound effect for Teleport, now it should properly react to adjusting the Effects and Master volume in the Settings.
- Patch 1.0.7: Teleporting without hearing loss - 31 March 2025
Small patch with two changes: - The volume of the sound effect when you Teleport has been lowered signficantly - A fix for a bug that popped up due to a previous fix (programming in a nutshell)
- Patch 1.0.5: small fix - 30 March 2025
Yet another patch with a small fix for a rare bug that could cause the game to freeze.
- Patch 1.0.5: Bug fixes and game crash fix - 30 March 2025
Please make sure to update to this version (and in general always update), as it contains some critical fixes. Fixes: - Some people reported game crashes/freezes, I think I found the cause and implemented a solution. If it still happens, please let me know, and hopefully I can resolve it quickly. - Fixed an issue where the minions of the final boss would spawn at different levels than intended on higher level runs. - Fixed another issue that was caused by combatants dying at inopportune times.
- Patch 1.0.4: More Hotfixes! - 29 March 2025
- Fixed an issue where you could get stuck in the ceiling in a particular dungeon configuration. Whoops. - Fixed a rare bug where the Perception Check D20 could get stuck if you rolled exactly when the target died. - Fixed a bug where a target of an Ability could become invalid if they died at a very specific time. - Fixed some more miscellaneous bugs. Should you encounter any bugs, feel free to let me know (either here, or in the discussions). I'd love to take a look and make sure this game runs well for everyone!
- Patch 1.0.3: Hotfixes - 28 March 2025
Phew, we're live! Thank you so much for playing my game, the reception has been great! Of course, that also leads to some new 'discoveries', bugs in this case. I'm trying to fix them as fast as I can, and obviously I'm starting with the critical bugs. There will probably be a few more patches in the coming days and weeks. Bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where if you managed to beat the final Realm, you would see a 'placeholder' message. - Fixed an issue where the game wouldn't allow you to press continue after winning a run. - Fixed an issue where you could trigger a message in the Tutorial from outside of the chapel.
- Patch 1.0.1: Launch Patch! - 27 March 2025
Alright, here we are, ready for launch in about 24 hours. Thank you so much to everyone who has been testing and covering my game, means the world to me! This patch aims to further clarify the Obedience mechanic and fix some miscellaneous bugs. Bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where with frame-perfect timing you could interrupt the first tutorial with the second, leading to an amalgamation of the GM talking to you. Sorry for the nightmares. Improvements: - When walking up to an Ally who is ready for your Commands (or suggestions really), you now see in the center of the screen the percentage chance they will accept that Command. - Slightly increased the rate at which Allies gain Obedience, and increased the bonus for having 10 Discipline. Have fun everyone!
- Patch 0.9.17: The Yellow Bar - 26 March 2025
I noticed that I wasn't making it nearly clear enough that the yellow bar on your Allies' right represents the percentage chance of them listening to your Command at that point, so I added two 'friendly reminders' to make sure you got it. I also increased the rate at which that bar fills if your Ally has 10 Discipline (which is the maximum).
- Patch 0.9.16 - 26 March 2025
This is another small patch to smooth out some bugs and polish the game a bit more. Bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where the screen could remain black if it was trying to fade-to-black during a Tutorial. - Fixed an issue where a Tutorial windows was partially obscured by a menu. - Added a failsafe so that if a Character dies while they're being moved, the hand should also disappear after a few seconds. Improvements: - The ghostly 'lifting hand' effect when looking at an Enemy or Ally now no longer remains when they're lowered to the ground. - Tweaked the logic for showing the Ally and Enemy displays so it should now trigger a bit sooner/easier. Balance: - Removed one of the lower Level Enemies from the final fight in the Dragon Cliffs Dungeon. - Slightly lowered the base Damage of the 'Fire the Cannons!' from 5.5 to 5. - Lowered General Zzam's base initiative from 9 to 6, so your Allies mi…
- Minor Patch 0.9.15 - 24 March 2025
Another small patch with a single fix: - Opening the Overview/Pause menu while a Tutorial is shown/playing, now correctly closes that Tutorial first.
- Minor Patch 0.9.14 - 21 March 2025
Small patch before launch, with a fix and some balance changes: Balance: - Slightly lowered the power of Enemies during the Tutorial. Removed their Crit Chance to reduce variance. Randomness is a core part of this game, but dying to unlucky Crits should be a thing AFTER the Tutorial! - Lowered the Health gained from the Mutations meta progression from 5 per level, to 3 per level. Bug fix: - Fixed a rare bug when a character died during being moved, resulting in a (harmless) error.
- Patch 0.3.37: Bug fixes - 16 October 2024
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has been trying out the Demo to 'I Had A Plan!', I appreciate all of you! This is a small patch that brings a couple of fixes to bugs that have popped up in the Demo: - Added a failsafe to the rare situation where you can find a Level up event while none of your Party members are ready to level up. Instead of soft-locking the game, the Event will close automatically and show a notification. - Made it impossible to skip the first Recruit event when starting a new run after beating the Tutorial. Previously, it was possible to skip this and end up with an empty party, leading to all sorts of issues. Note that there was absolutely no reason to skip this, but hey, I'm not telling you how to play my game, just thanking you for doing so! Thanks!
- Patch 0.3.34: Bug fixes - 9 October 2024
This patch implements a few crucial bug fixes: - Fixed a bug where the final fight of the Tutorial wouldn't start unless you saved/loaded the game. - Fixed a bug where the game would crash entirely after winning the fourth combat in the Tutorial while having an Ally suffering from a Bleed effect. - Fixed a bug that could cause the Level Up event to trigger while no Allies actually leveled up after saving and loading in very specific spots, which would soft lock the game.
- Patch 0.3.33: Redemption - 30 September 2024
This patch introduces a new mechanic: Redemption. Whenever one of your PC Allies becomes injured and is cured to half health at a campfire, they now get a strong buff called Redemption the next Combat, greatly increasing their Armor and Magic Resist for a bit. This way, you won't just get them back up to get knocked down again! Besides this, there's also a few bug fixes: - When you complete a tracked Objective, it now correctly hides the number indicating your distance to that Objective. - The Level Up Event in the Farm zone now only shows up if you actually have anyone to Level up. In some rare cases, this would malfunction, leading to freezes. - Fixed a rare unintentional interaction between a specific Run Charm and the Campfire, causing your injured Allies to heal for much less than they should.
- Patch 0.3.32: A few bug fixes and quality of life improvements - 27 September 2024
Improvements: - After finishing the Tutorial once, your starting Character will start with 5 extra HP, to make squishier Characters more viable. - If during a fight all of your PC Allies die, you now lose. This prevents strange situations where only a Summon or an NPC who is about to leave survives. Bug fixes: - Fixed a rare bug where you could fall through the floor in the Dungeon. - Fixed a bug where you could inadvertently reset part of your meta progression. - Fixed a bug where the enemy 'Pin' had no level (is now correctly a level 1 character).
- Hotfix 0.3.31 - 26 September 2024
A quick fix to an issue that caused one of the objectives in the Tutorial to not register as completed.
