CARDS The nerf hammer falls! - Permafrost: Stamina cost set to 2 (was 1). Note: It was just too strong. - Frozen Blood: Resonance requirement set to 8. Note: Expected minor adjustments to Boreal cards, when they come in contact with more players. OTHER - Act 2 upgrade event cost has been reworked. It no longer reduces max stagger, it instead will eat all your insight (if you have zero, it's free). Note: Max stagger cost mid run is very restrictive to some Boreal cards and to Ronin. - Fixed a rare visual glitch when freezing a card. - Fixed a typo.

The Boreal Card Set: The 6th aspect of the Pale Gods — chaos from the frozen wasteland. The new set is incorporated directly into the existing game, with some adjustments to make all six sets fit harmoniously. Two new mechanisms are introduced in the new set: FREEZE: A frozen card does not get discarded at the end of the turn. The freeze effect lasts until the card is played. This allows for great future turn planning or ensuring you can dodge an attack when you really need to. RESONANCE: Resonance activates additional effects on cards if you meet the Stagger threshold. Even if you are STAGGERED, these effects activate, rewarding risky play. Patch notes - Version 1.1.3 New alternative game mode: Boss rush Alternative game modes now unlock after reaching Hunt 2 (It was 5) Mini cards in end game and history pages can now be inspected via right clicking them. BOSS RUSH A much quicker way to play the game. It removes some of the nuances of deckbuilding, but it gives the same power arc in a much more compact playtime. Character choice is only visual in this mode. They have no unique curios or cards due to the diminished nature of the boss rush mode. Curio list for this mode is filtered to exclude some curios that are not relevant. There are only 9 fights. Each fight has more card rewards but colors are always mixed. No lanterns, instead some healing runes are guaranteed, good luck. Patch notes - Version 1.0.1 Character unlock requirements have been reduced. Why: the goal was never to introduce grind, only to allow players to be more familiar with the game as things unlock. The requirements were a bit too high that felt grindy. Exploration glowing arrow now goes away after the first game over screen (win or lose). Added cards per color count in player deck UI. NOTE: After this update, If a character should be unlocked but it is not available in the selection screen, simply start a new hunt and lose, characters unlock in the game over screen :)

New enemies, card balance and various improvements. AVAILABLE IN THE DEMO NEW ENEMIES Added 1 new enemy per color. The new enemies are now part of the normal roster. There are now 4 enemies per color. Their cards are slightly off color pattern, using tactics from other colors. ENEMY MOVEMENT PREVIEW Now enemies indicate where exactly they will move on their turn in relation to the player position. Additionally, when a player has to select a new space to move, the enemy preview adjust live to help make an informed decision. Now it is easier to trick enemies into terrain! Hieronymus boss rework Hieronymus has been tweaked to fit more his theme, and provide a more fair fight.
